How to prepare for a newborn session-Niceville Florida

Recently, I have had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful newborn session with her parents.  Newborn sessions are fun yet very time consuming.  In this blog I am going to explain step by step how we captured these beautiful memories.

Step 1:  Make sure baby is fed and warm.

Once arriving these parents did a great job making sure baby is fed changed and warm and ready for her close up.  Ha ha see what I did there ;).  We were able to set up and take off running.  So first we started with some pictures in front of the crib in a lifestyle kind of way.  I purchased a newborn swaddle blanket just for this session so that baby would look cute and comfy.

Step 2: Feed the baby

The baby can only go for about 1-2 hours before wanting to eat.  So after about an hour we took a break and allowed baby to eat and relax for a few minutes.  Then we resumed.

Step 3: Take breaks and make sure baby is warm

We added a heater after the second feeding break because baby was a little chilly and we wanted her to be happy warm and sleepy for the last few images of her session.  We wanted to get some great shots of just her by herself to remember all the little sweetness and features.
